Welcome to the VoteTrustUSA website! This website has been designed as
a news and information resource about how votes are cast and counted in
the United States. We hope that it will be useful to citizens concerned
about the accuracy, transparency, and security of our election process.
We welcome comments and suggestions about how we can better serve
voters, election officials, and legislators in ensuring the integrity
of elections. Please write to .
The VTUSA website is constructed of Sections, with Categories linked
to those Sections. Each Category and Section is both a resource
page and a blog of relevant articles. Almost all content on the site
provides an opportunity for registered users to post comments.
The News Section features a newsfeed generated by our information manager John Gideon,
who tirelessly sorts through all the voting news from around the
country. It also includes links to John's picks for the Top Five News
Stories of each week. VoteTrustUSA publishes a weekly newsletter The Election Integrity News. You can automatically subscribe for the newsletter by registering on the website or by sending an email to .
The States Section
focuses on state issues and includes a page for each of the fifty
states and the District of Columbia, which you can access from the
links in the right hand sidebar. VoteTrustUSA's primary mission is to
provide a national voice for state and local election integrity
organizations. In the States Section you can find links to over fifty
state level groups in the left hand sidebar as well as links to state
election administration and voting system information and resource
sites as well as state-specific newsfeeds for many states .
The Vendors Section
concerns the companies that provide the voting systems on which we cast
our votes and then count those votes and also those vendors that
provide the databases that state election officials use to determine
where we vote and whether we are allowed to vote at all. In this
section you will find links to pages for each of the major vendors of
voting machines and voter registration databases. These pages contain
constantly updated newsfeeds and, for publically-traded companies,
stock quotes along with basic company information and specialized
reports about the systems they produce.
The Get Involved Section
provides suggestions for how you can help to ensure the accuracy and
transparency of our elections. This Section also includes a calendar of election related events.
You can find out more about VoteTrustUSA in the About Us Section. We also maintain a Message Board that includes forums for each state. Finally, VoteTrustUSA, often in conjunction with state level groups, facilitates Action Alerts through a web service that allows signers to easily direct emails to the national and state legislators.
We hope you find this site helpful and informative.
