1) if the wireless component is of the 802.11 - style?

There currently is NO wireless component.

2) How and when are the votes on the early touchscreen voting machines tabulated?

a) Which model machines are being used?

b) When are the early votes tabulated?

c) Is it done according to precinct?

We use the Diebold TSx. Votes are processed but no results are published as with absentee ballots, in the days immediately preceding election day, in accordance with California law. Results are by ballot group, not by

precinct.

3) I would like a list of all of the voting wares being used in LA County presently -- including ballot marking and tabulating devices.

4) How are the absentee ballots tabulated?

a) is it done according to precinct?

b) Are the absentee ballots included in the 1% audit of the randomly chosen precincts?

c) are the DRE results included in the 1% audit?

Absentee ballots are not counted by precinct but by ballot group. They are not included in the 1% random hand tally. Neither are DRE results.

5) How are the provisional ballots tabulated?

Provisional ballots are tabulated during the canvass in the same manner as other polling place ballots.
